Infectious disease & orphan drugs
We supply critical orphan medicines for rare and emerging infections to Taiwan CDC — drugs no company registers locally, found abroad and imported under special-import routes.
We supply narcotic APIs for pain management and orphan medicines for infectious disease to the institutions that protect public health in Taiwan — sourced for quality and continuity, not only price.
For a controlled narcotic or an orphan drug there is rarely a second supplier. When quality slips or supply stops, patients in severe pain and patients with rare infections have nowhere else to go.
Likemountain exists to find and keep that source: a manufacturer whose quality we have verified, a supply we can sustain year after year, and the regulatory work with TFDA done correctly every time. Price matters — but quality and continuity decide whether a patient is treated.
Likemountain Pharma Ltd. was founded in 2010 as a subsidiary of Johnson & Annie, a Taipei trading house that has sourced specialty chemicals for Taiwan's public institutions since 1983. We import and distribute pharmaceutical products — active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and finished dosage forms (FDFs).
We know our place in the market: a small, specialised supplier for the products that demand expertise and special handling. For well over a decade we have worked in Taiwan's controlled-narcotics market, focused on Schedule I and II narcotics, in close cooperation with the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration. Our customers are government agencies, public-health bodies and professional partners across the pharmaceutical industry.

Builds its position in Taiwan's controlled-narcotics market, working with TFDA on the import, documentation and distribution of Schedule I and II narcotic APIs.
Visit to Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany; acquisition of transcranial micro-current (tES) therapy technology.
IRB approval and Ministry of Health and Welfare authorisation to run a clinical trial of micro-current stimulation in glaucoma patients.
Clinical trial in progress; completion expected 2027.
Expected: TFDA medical-device licence for transcranial micro-current stimulation in glaucoma.
Our work overlaps with our parent company on purpose: Johnson & Annie covers the chemistry, Likemountain the medicines. We concentrate on the few fields where our regulatory experience and our supplier relationships make the difference between a treatment that exists and one that does not.

Well over a decade of experience with Schedule I and II narcotic APIs: TFDA import permits, the national quota, secure logistics and full traceability from manufacturer to pharmacy.
Severe and chronic pain remains under-treated. We keep nalbuphine, naltrexone and other opioid APIs available to the manufacturers and hospitals that care for these patients.
Our newest field: transcranial electrical stimulation for visual rehabilitation, with a glaucoma clinical trial approved by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2025.
Our range is small. We would rather devote our energy to a handful of medicines that Taiwan genuinely needs, and keep learning how to supply them well — steadily, and in step with our regulators.

Product detailsAccurate, visible information for our partners — strategies and market data shared openly, because hidden information always surfaces and visibility earns trust.
Experience and technique are our hard skills. We upgrade them continuously, from accumulated trial and error and a determination to get better.
The world changes fast; our philosophy and business model do not. We build long-term relationships and keep a product line alive as long as patients need it.
Not every request should be pursued. We assess each project honestly and tell partners our limits, so both sides keep their money and energy for the next opportunity.
Credibility is built from the other four. It is not merely a possession of the company — it is what inspires our mission and keeps us doing the work well.
Barriers are part of the work. We train ourselves to think outside the box — the boxes are confined, but we find routes.
A great team is formed with love and respect: fair pay, a stable environment where ideas are shared freely, and real care for each person's well-being.
We prefer to develop new markets rather than occupy existing ones — to function uniquely and respect the products and fields of others.
No company lasts forever. What we can pass on is attitude, determination and the responsibility to do it right — for the next generation and a better society.
“A company exists not only for its results, but for whether it can responsibly pass better value on to the next generation.”— Likemountain Pharma company philosophy
